The Music Service Ministry is led by a band of faithful and gifted servants who endeavor to offer excellence in their respective areas of ministry. Through ongoing training, professional development, and prayer, the ministry members seek to continuously sharpen their Godbestowed talents, while also growing in their spiritual sensitivity. Angelic Children’s Choir
"…don’t prevent them from coming to me. God’s Kingdom is made up of people like these.” --Matthew 19:14,
The Message Bible The Angelic Children’s Choir, also affectionately known as Tate’s Tots, is an integral component of the Heritage Music Service Ministry. Through this activity, children between the ages of 5 and 12 are taught the Gospel through contemporary music. Furthermore, they are exposed to a relationship with Jesus Christ while learning the importance of prayer and Praise and Worship. Beyond music ministry, the children also participate in service activities in the community to demonstrate the love of God by giving back to those whom are less fortunate.
Adult Choir
The Heritage Adult Choir is responsible for a large portion of Music Service Ministry. Serving the congregation at least three Sundays each month, this group of individuals is instrumental in ushering the presence of God into the service in preparation for the preached word. Although its ministry at Heritage is paramount, the Adult Choir also seeks to minister throughout the Northern Virginia area and its neighboring communities to lift up the name of Jesus, and spread the good news of the Gospel.
Men’s Choir
A small contingency of men, who enjoy fun and fellowship together, comprise the Men’s Choir that ministers periodically throughout the year, including Men’s Day and Mother’s Day. Sacred Dance
The Sacred Dance Ministry adds diversity to Music Service Ministry as it offers anointed and God-inspired movement to Gospel music. This ministry is also featured in annual Christmas and Easter presentations, and participates in outreach ministry activities throughout the community.
Worship and Praise Team
To prepare the atmosphere and hearts of the people for Worship, the Worship and Praise Team is a collection of singers that understand the significance of corporate Worship. Arriving before the service officially begins, these individuals have committed themselves to the Old Testament mandate to offer praise before anything else.
Instrumental Music
Supporting each component ofMusic Service Ministry is a 5-piece ensemble of skilled musicians with a heart for serving God. Available to provide musical accompaniment for Worship services, and church-related activities, the Band accepts the seriousness of its role and contribution to the Worship experience. Endeavoring to function as a unit to the glory of God, the Band’s sensitivity to the Spirit and diverse styles of music are an exciting addition to Heritage activities.
Teen Church Music
Presently in its infancy, Music Ministry support for Teen Church presently consists of a Keyboardist and Worship Leader. There are plans, however, to develop young people who desire to serve the Lord through song and serve as members of their own Worship & Praise Team, Choir, and Band.
What We Do:
The Heritage Fellowship Church Music Service Ministry is a collection of artistic and creative entities including instrumental and vocal music, and sacred dance. Comprised of committed individuals having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and who recognize him not only as Savior but also Lord, this integral ministry of church life seeks to lead the congregation into a more meaningful and intimate relationship with God.
