Dear Christian Friends,
During this Thanksgiving season, we are truly grateful for what the Lord has done for us particularly in the areas of the building of our new church edifice. We have been led to adopt the theme "We've come this far by faith." Indeed, it has been by faith that we are now moving forward in building a special place to the honor and glory of God.
In Hebrews 11:1 the Word says that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Many of you have given to the vision of a new structure. That's faith in the true sense of the word. Interestingly, James writes in his letter that faith without works is dead (James 2:20). our faith is how we have arrived at this point in our building effort. Our faith connected with our works is the only way we can complete our new structure.
I am asking that each of you will pray about what God would have you to give monetarily and through your gifts and talents. Nehemiah said "I can't come down because I am about a great work." We have begun a new work and it will take both faith and works to complete it.
May the Lord richly bless you all,
N. A. Tate,
Senior Pastor
